Dental Crowns & Bridges
in Spokane Valley, WA
Dental crowns and bridges are the most common procedures in restorative dentistry, as they are a solution for a wide range of dental issues. At Spokane Valley Dentistry, our patients come in with tooth loss, severely fractured or broken teeth, missing fillings, etc. and we send you home with a beautiful and healthy smile in a fully restored mouth. We understand that if not handled as soon as possible, these dental problems can worsen, and thus we are happy to offer you crowns and bridges – equally effective on their own as well as in conjunction with each other.
Crowns
A dental crown is a porcelain cap designed to match the structure and appearance of your natural tooth. We will utilize this cap to cover a tooth missing enough of its structure that it can no longer function properly, such as if your tooth is severely broken, cracked, or missing a large filling. We will also use a crown to strengthen a tooth that has undergone a root canal procedure, where much of its internal structure is removed and what remains is a brittle shell of a tooth.
Bridges
A dental bridge is often used to counteract the effects of tooth loss. A bridge is a series of artificial teeth fused together and placed into the empty gaps. It can be attached to your natural teeth as well as to crowns, if you have previously undergone a procedure that requires them. Regardless of whether the teeth are real or artificial, a dental bridge will use them as anchors to restore full functionality to your mouth.
